National Council on Severe Autism
Jill Escher is president of the National Council on Severe Autism (NCSA), past president of Autism Society San Francisco Bay Area, and an independent autism research philanthropist focusing on emerging questions of autism causation (Escher Fund for Autism). She co-founded NCSA in 2018 to advance recognition, research, and policy for individuals and families affected by severe forms of autism. She is also a provider of community-based low-income housing for adults with autism and related developmental disabilities (Claradon Properties, LLC). She and her husband have two grown children with nonverbal profound autism, Jonathan, 27, and Sophie, 20. She lives with her family in the San Francisco Bay Area.
