Melissa Horton, MPH is a Data Management Specialist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center with experience supporting research in academic medical centers and public health settings. Her background spans research coordination, database and survey development, registry support, data quality review, and research documentation.

In her current role, Melissa has contributed to the development and maintenance of research databases and multi‑survey systems, including creating structured documentation and data manuals to support consistent data entry and improve data quality. She has supported registry and training evaluation efforts, built reporting tools and visualizations to track program progress, and helped streamline data workflows to support timely and accurate reporting.

Previously, Melissa worked as a research coordinator in public health–focused roles supporting large participant cohorts and population‑based studies. She has experience preparing study reports, developing standard operating documentation, and presenting findings to institutional stakeholders. Across roles, she has worked extensively with REDCap and related data capture systems, translating research and operational needs into well‑organized, well‑documented data structures that support collaboration and reuse.
