Julie Sato, PhD

Dr. Julie Sato is a research manager at the Autism Research Centre at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto, where she supports the team led by Evdokia Anagnostou. She brings more than a decade of experience in clinical research, managing clinical trials and long-term health studies in child neurodevelopment.

In her current role, Sato focuses on building strong research programs, encouraging cross-disciplinary teamwork, and turning scientific discoveries into practical benefits for children and families.

Sato earned a doctorate in psychology from the University of Toronto, where her research focused on how early nutrition affects brain structure and function in children born very prematurely. During her postdoctoral fellowship, she used advanced brain-imaging tools, including wearable magnetic brain sensors, to study early brain network development in infants and toddlers with autism spectrum disorder.
