Dr. Amanda Bennett is an attending developmental and behavioral pediatrician within the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) at CHOP and she is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. She is also the Clinical Director for the Autism Care Innovation Center at CHOP, leading the interdisciplinary effort to streamline and continually improve care for children with ASD of all ages across our primary and specialty care centers. Further, she is Associate Chief and Director of Autism Services for DBP, and the Medical Director for the Center for Autism Research (CAR) at CHOP. Finally, Dr. Bennett is the Clinical Chair of the Autism Integrated Care Program, which is a collaborative interdisciplinary diagnostic and treatment program at CHOP that includes developmental and behavioral pediatricians, clinical psychologists, child and adolescent psychiatrists, and neurologists. Dr. Bennett’s research focuses on finding ways to support families and community providers who care for children with ASD from screening and diagnosis to long-term clinical management and care integration. She has served as PI for numerous Phase 3 interventional clinical trials for children with ASD and related genetic conditions. Further, she has served as PI or Co-Investigator on more than a dozen federal- or foundation-sponsored research studies that involve the clinical evaluation of autism, NDDs, and co-morbid conditions, in partnership with cross-disciplinary teams.
